about this Museum

The Canadian Clock Museum, located in Deep River, Ontario, is Canada's only museum dedicated exclusively to the history of Canadian clockmaking. Established in May 2000 by founder and curator Allan Symons, the museum showcases a comprehensive collection of over 3,000 timepieces, focusing on Canadian-made and Canadian-label clocks dating from the early 1800s to the present. Notable collections include clocks from the Arthur Pequegnat Clock Company, Westclox, and Snider, among others. Housed in a converted church, the museum offers guided tours and features interactive exhibits, such as a working 1921 Synchronome master clock and a 1930s Blick Time Recorder, allowing visitors to engage directly with Canada's horological heritage.
